Child Safety Standards
Last updated: October 2, 2026
Resonance is built and run by the Resonance team. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards cover everything on Resonance — cards, resonances, profiles, images, notes and messages — on the website and in the iOS and Android apps.
What is prohibited
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including drawn, generated or edited images.
- Sexualising minors, or content that depicts, encourages or promotes the sexual abuse or exploitation of children.
- Grooming: contacting a minor to build trust for sexual purposes, asking a minor for sexual images or conversations, or arranging to meet a minor for sexual purposes.
- Sextortion, trafficking or any other exploitation of minors.
- Sharing links to, or asking for, any of the above.
Who can use Resonance
- You must be at least 13, as our Terms of Use say; minors use Resonance with a parent's or guardian's permission.
How to report
- In the apps and on the website, every card, profile and conversation has a "⋯" menu with Report and Block.
- You can also email support@resonance.channel; please include a link to the card or profile.
- If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first.
What we do
- We review reports within 24 hours, and anything involving a child comes first.
- We remove CSAE content and CSAM as soon as we find it, and permanently suspend the accounts involved.
- We report CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the relevant authorities, including the police in Taiwan, as the law requires, and keep what they need for their investigation.
- We cooperate with law enforcement on child safety.
